Adding file types or search all files

I need to search a cd that contains files that were copied form a network. These files were supposed to be deleted files in a Windows eviroment. Is it possible to specify a . (all the files types) search when looking for a certain text string? What about files with no extension?

You could try to add a ‘???’ HFS type to the preferences (probably those copied files have such an HFS type). Anyway, there will be a more simple way in the future to scan all files (and improved RTF/RTFD/SimpleText/TextClipping support too).
