After upgrade to Mac OS 26

After upgrade to Mac OS 26, Google Chrome keeps triggering DT4 to input login passwords and/or credit card info. Even when DT4 is not open. I use 1 Password and have the 1P Chrome extension installed and active.

I searched online for an answer, but none of the suggested steps applied. (The settings I was told to change were not active to begin with.)

We don’t have any control over what Chrome does.

I would expect that to be the case. But you might have some knowledge about how your application interacts with it.

    But thanks.

Neither of those screenshots has anything to do with DEVONthink, though?

A typical AI hallucination. Neither did we confirm this nor are we testing any related changes.

Perhaps. But I’m not on drugs, so I don’t think the popups are hallucinations.

After some trial and error, and further inquiries elsewhere online, simply disabling the Chrome DT extension seems to have resolved the issue.

But thanks for the gaslighting.

No one said you were on drugs nor was anyone gaslighting you.

A typical AI hallucination.

This clearly states the type of hallucination (emphasis mine).

And from the Getting Started > AI Explained section of the built-in Help and manual…

What does this even mean? I don’t understand what the issue is or what your screenshots are supposed to show.

(A wild guess: conflicting keyboard shortcuts?)

Explaining things properly will get you further than throwing around words like “gaslighting”.

Since no one has spelled out the obvious, only hinted at it: That pop-up in the screenshots is the Dashlane extension, not the “Clip to DEVONthink” extension. Dashlane has no relation to DEVONthink.

I would be suprised if enabling or disabling the DEVONthink extension (i.e., “Clip to DEVONthink”) has any impact on the Dashlane pop-up. So I imagine you might have simply gotten confused (which happens) and thought that the Dashlane extension was the DEVONthink extension.

Since you use 1Password and not Dashlane, you could probably just uninstall the Dashlane extension.
