in both annotation text box and note window after I type the first character the entire widow closes off. I can’t add any more text, I can no longer change the color of the text, etc.
please advise…

With Christian’s help, I noticed in the find inspector a left over character in the search field. This was the origin of my problem. Once I cleared the character, everything worked as normal.
I would not have found this without Christian’s and Bulefrog’s help.
