Auto-complete of tags on DTTG?

I cannot auto-complete my tags in the new DTTG:

When typing b o o DTTG offers only spelling suggestions like “Boo”, Book or Booked, but not the Tags book or book-wishlist which are clearly in this database:

In DTK on the Mac this is all no problem:

How to fix this?

I think there still is a bug that does not support multi-word tags. Smart Groups don’t work with them as well.

You have no shown anything indicating the actual issue in DEVONthink To Go. Did you actually tap the blue plus button?

I don’t have any such reports from the recent versions of DEVONthink To Go.

That’s right. I reported it at the very beginning when version 4 came out, and it remained unfixed for several updates, and I didn’t look into it again. And yes, it now seems to be fixed on both the iPad and the iPhone.

Sorry for the oversight. And sorry for the late answer, I’ve been switched off some days.

No worries - just making sure something isn’t being missed.

Now I did - and I see: You get the “auto”-complete options when you tap the plus button!

I’d say, this not the most intuitive way to offer auto-complete (usually auto-completions are in the top row of the keyboard), but it works – even with hyphenated tags.

Thanks for detailing this in your reply, @BLUEFROG.

You’re welcome.

That’s Apple’s predictive text and wouldn’t work well with the large number of tags some people have. The mechanism in DEVONthink To Go has visual roots in how DEVONthink handles such things.
