Hey DT enthusiasts, can any of you reproduce this? I am using Sequoia 15.2 with DT 3.9.8. Am using square bracket syntax for internal linking in a markdown document. I get a suggested list of links when I start typing after [[… but when I use the arrow down to select the correct item, it autocompletes the first one, rather than letting me arrow down to the one I want. Wikilink settings attached.
I reproduced this behavior in Sequoia but only the first time you initiate a WikiLink. The autocompletion of subsequent WikiLinks on the document work as expected. Reselecting the document and entering a WikiLink should show the misbehavior again. Can you confirm this?
It’s a little hit a miss, sometimes it will let the arrow navigate down or up the list, after the first time fails, but then unexpectedly commits one of choices before the return key is pressed. It’s hard to see a pattern.
Just tried this using the current beta of macOS 15.3 and both Markdown and RTF documents but I couldn’t reproduce this anymore, therefore this should be fixed by the next Sequoia update.
That’s great. I haven’t had time to test more and report, but also had a bug last evening, not sure if it is sequoia or DT, but completing a markdown link with [[, I begin typing, DT suggests various options but none of them apply as I am intending to make a new document with template after by clicking on the new markdown link, then sequoia offers its own autocomplete option as I am starting to type the third word “assessment”, and then everything freezes. It seemed to be the Sequoia operating system autocomplete overriding an attempt to create a wiki link in DT3, and freezing the app. I hope that made sense.
Are you able to reproduce this? In that case a screen recording would be really appreciated. But a screenshot of both Settings > Editing and Settings > WikiLinks might be useful too.
Thanks for looking, the settings I posted above at the top of thread. I have not reproduced the crash, triggered by operating system autocomplete, but sections of the screen are going blank. I cannot seem to upload the file (its greyed out when try to select it from my desktop) but would be happy to send it to you directly.
