Automatically stripping highlighting from Summarize Highlights > As Markdown

The Summarise Highlights command is awesome. One thing I don’t like, though I can see why it’s there, is that underline annotations get turned into Markdown underlining, and similar for highlighter pen annotations, etc.

For my literature notes, I really want to strip all that away.

Is there some way for me to do the “Summarise Highlights” and then automatically trigger a script of some sort which could strip the formatting from the various highlights etc.?

A smart rule which is executed on creation and executes a script should be able to handle this. And as far as I remember there have been already some scripts posted on this forum to post-process the output of the summaries.
