Background sync on DTTG3 using ipadOS26

The last mention of background sync was in 2016 and it was then acknowledged that this was a no go because ipadOS will not work if DTTG is in the background ie not running.

The new version of iPadOS is ‘said’ to allow background tasks. Do you think that DTTG will be allowed to do this too?
If anyone has been brave enough to run the current beta of OS26 on their ipad - does background sync via Bonjour now work?

It might be but, according to other developers, the background process is still killed after five minutes. We will experiment with this when the time has come.
