There does not seem to be a backup feature in the DT3 preference pane.
Can I find it somewhere else?
Version 3 still creates the backups but the preferences have been removed. It’s only an internal backup of the metadata and the index and should never replace a good backup strategy.
I agree viz backup strategy and have one in place.
As regards internal backups, the only ones I find inside my database files were those made by DT2. Therefore my question.
Version 3 should do weekly backups.
OK! Is that when you leave the database open? How does is operate when you close the db, as DT2 then made a backup.
Both version 2 and 3 create the backup after opening (if it’s overdue) or while it’s open.
