Batch processing Aliases

Hello.

My first DT3 question… Here goes…

I understand the aliases, which I’m using for wikilinks. All good. However, is it possible to batch processing aliases.

I have a bunch of images (22) and I want them all to have the same aliase. I can only do them one at a time. Have I understood alises correctly?

Kind regards

Dj

Aliases should be unique. If they’re not, this can lead to confusion when using them. For example, what image would a WikiLink point to if they had the same alias? It can’t link to them all.

@BLUEFROG yep… got it… Understood. I did think about that issue before posting, but yes of course… Got it

Glad to hear it!

Hmm. That raises a question for me.

I have a small group of related files: a technical paper, a press release from the company, a high quality image, and maybe my interview notes from a conversation with the author.

What’s the best way to make sure that a search for one finds the others? I’ve been using an alias for this purpose, but hadn’t thought about the linking issue.

I’d suggest tags as a better option in that case.

You batch tag a bunch of stuff. Select all the items and tag em
