Bookmark PDF page?

Hi all,

Like everyone here, I use DTPO for all kinds of things, including reading and reviewing PDFs. I find myself occasionally retuning to the same page in a reference PDFs, and I’m wondering what’s the best way to bookmark, tag, or otherwise make it much easier to find these pages in question? I currently open the PDF and do a search for the word that I know exist on the page, and press “Next” until I get to the desired page.

Thanks.

With a PDF active, hold Shift and choose Data > Copy Page Link, also available from the contextual menu, to create a link to the page. You could paste that into another document. You could also use Data > New from Template > Annotation as the document to paste the link to.

Good idea. Thanks Jim. I knew you’d have an answer.

You’re welcome.

hi. but is there a way to actually create a set of bookmarks in a pdf w/o making links to the page from another document?

Just put them on the Annotation field (ctrl+3)
1- Copy page link
2- Paste it on annotation
Its clean.
You can even add notes on why you did bookmark them.
The annotation field changed the way I work, it’s wonderful.

Any suggestions for this on mobile?

DEVONthink To Go supports annotation files. Open the Info popup…

After creating an annotation file…

This is a game changer for me. THANK YOU!
