Bullet lists - how to best open a file with the default app

I’m often using bullet lists in my text documents. Is there a way to create such lists in DEVONthink directly?

If not, is there a keyboard shortcut to open a rich text document straight into TextEdit?

Shift-Command-O opens a file in the system default editor.

However, we use the same text engine as TextEdit, and yes you can add bullet lists via Fomat > List or in the ruler after showing Format > Ruler > Show Ruler.
