I created a text annotation in a pdf. I wanted to center the text in the white background of the annotation field. I cannot find any way to do this. The formatting options are greyed out when the annotation is selected.

There are no such formatting controls that apply to a text annotation.
Even more, at least all PDF annotators I’ve tested don’t (and I’ve tested a lot).
A future release might support this.
