I am setting the app up on a new Ipad Air. My desktop data syncs to Dropbox. I have successfully synced all but two dtatabases. One of the two is the most important, and the main reason I am using this app on an Ipad. The database is clearly there. Settings/locations can see it. But nothing I do will make it sync. It and one other show as “Not Yet Synched.” It is large, no question about it, but this process has gone on for hours on a high speed connection. Is there any way to force this database to sync?
You could try adding Bonjour as an alternative sync method
This is direct; device<>device
I find this works even when my cloud sync fails
No, you can’t force it to sync. And if there’s a problem with your database, what would be the benefit of transmitting problems?
This has been discussed many times here, in the built-in Help and manual, on our FAQ, etc. If you have a sync issue, the first things you should check are (as they apply)…
- What is reported in DEVONthink’s Window > Log?
- Is there a triangle on the sync icon in DEVONthink To Go’s bottom toolbar? If so, tap it. What is reported?
(1.) The database “Woodridge Council” successfully verified. 8/17/2024 5:43 pm
(2.) You can’t save the file (gives a name ending in .plist) because the volume “User” is out of space. No more disk space left. 8/17/2024 3:28 pm
(However, the Ipad shows only 78 gb of 256 used.)
On DEVONthink To Go’s databases screen, select ? > Contact Us to start a support ticket. Thanks!
