Can't log in to DEVONthink Server

Hey there,
I wanted to demonstrate DT3 Server in the company network, so I installed it on the one Mac we have and set up the server.

However, I can’t log in from another PC. DT Server is set to bonjour name Devonthink_Server, bonjour domain is company.local, port got automatically assigned to 56303, no certificate set.

The PC is running Firefox 121.0.1 on the same network. Accessing the server with 192.168.x.y:56303 does show the login screen, but entering the user/pass does nothing. Neither does switching between http and https, with or without cert. I couldn’t get beyond a blank screen that reads 192.168.x.y:56303/wwwlogin.cgi

Fun fact: Keyboard Maestro web server does work and is accessible on 192.168.x.y:4490 without certificate.

What is wrong? The browser does not have any special blockers installed.

Does it work using another browser? Are you able to log in to the server on Macs?

If you’re trying it with HTTP (which should be ok on your internal network), you could open Firefox’ developer tools on the login page (right click, popup menu entry below “Show page source”) and have them show you console. If you turn on all the options (Error, Log, Debug etc), you should see the communication between FF and DT server (hopefully).

(the image is from DT’s forum, console is in the bottom)

JEEBUS CRISIS, I AM SORRY!

Please file this under User Error… :see_no_evil:

I erroneously tried to log in with a non-existent account. It works now! :see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil::see_no_evil:
