If I chat with a pdf in the DTP4 inspector window, I can download or copy the whole chat. But is there a possibility to add the last response to the annotation of the respective PDF? If no, would this be possible with a script that can be added to the DTP4 menu and hereby also be executed with a shortcut? This would be fantastic, as very often I do not want to download the whole chat but want to add only selected responses to my annotations.
It’s only possible to add a comment, not an annotation via prompting currently.
One option might be to use the chat assistant and/or the Info > Annotations > & Reminder inspector as a detached popover so that chat & info can be used next to each other to simplify copying & pasting.
So adding a chat response to the annotation would be a feature request from my side - if this might appear useful also to you.
Copying and pasting is not easy. There is a copy button, but it copies the entire chat window. When I try to copy only the last response by selecting the text and then paste it into the annotation field, the formatting is lost.
I am seeing no issue copying from the Chat assistant and pasting into a rich text or Markdown annotation file (in the inspector or the document)…
I cannot confirm this (see my support ticket). Copy & Paste from the chat assistant to the annotation or a markdown document looses the text formatting. Therefore, having a possibility to copy only the last response (not the whole chat assistant thread) and eventually also a possibility to add the last response preserving the formatting to the annotation field would be welcome. Please regard this as a kind feature suggestion from my side. I have full understanding that this is not a high priority. It would be just a “nice to have” feature.
