Chrome print to Devonthink not working

For the last couple of weeks the print to Devonthink 3 has stopped working.

What I would usually do, (say if I made an online purchase) is to File->Print; More Settings; Print using system dialog…; pdf; save pdf to Devonthink3.

Now I get an error message: “Print Failed Something went wrong when trying to print. Please check your printer and try again.” The second time I do this, it fails silently.

I tried reinstalling the Devonthink Chrome extension but it has not fixed the issue.

Would appreciate any workarounds. Thanks.

This is not a DEVONtech issue. It is a Chrome issue and this can be easily proven by trying to print a PDF to another application with PDF Services installed.

OK – so there is an acceptable workaround. From Chrome, Print->Open PDF in Preview. Then in the Preview app print to Devonthink3 as usual.
