Jon of Sonny Software has just released an MCP server for Bookends. This greatly facilitates integration of Bookends with Devonthink way beyond standard scripts.
As an example here is a Claude Skill which can search PubMed or other academic sources to create literature reviews and other summaries with cross-linking back to the original URL, Bookends, and Devonthink. This includes deep links to specific highlighted areas in the source PDF. Example reports and instructions for installation are in the Github README. Feel free to ask any questions.
