Cleaning sync locations with "not yet downloaded files"

I’m currently in the process of moving from iCloud to CloudKit syncing. Unfortunately, when I control-click the iCloud (Legacy) location and choose Clean Location to remove the sync data, I am confronted with the following error message:

Clean Location

The local databases contain not yet downloaded files.

Do you want to remove all sync data from the sync store anyway?

As far as I can tell, all of my local databases have been synchronized but the error message persists. Is there any way to figure out what/where these “not yet downloaded” files are?

Thanks!

Okay, I figured it out. Apparently I needed to run a search for “item:pending” in All Databases, which revealed a single file that for some reason could not be downloaded. After deleting that file and emptying the trash, I was able to successfully clean the iCloud (legacy) sync location.
