[CLOSED] DTTG: Making use of highlights in PDFs?

I normally use Apps like LiquidText, MarginNotes or simply PDF Expert to read PDFs and highlight text.

I now tried the first time to directly use DTTG instead, but after marking some text in a PDF, I cannot find any view that actually makes use of those highlights - I mean, something like a list of all marked text-blocks and a way to jump to that page, or something like this.

I used the “T” context-button, which marks the text yellow.

Is this actually not possible (rendering DTTG useless for working on PDFs) or am I just trying or looking wrongly?

I just thought it would be neat to reduce the amount of Apps used and to not only use DTTG has a document storage and retrival means.

Thanks for any hint :hugs:

I found this:

It seems to indicate that DTTG does not support “Summarize Highlights” even as high-lighting is possible now.

That drives me back to the Apps mentioned above …

Highlighting text will always be done on iPad with Pencil for me, so I need this in DTTG, not DT.

Sorry for the disturbance.

At this time, there is no listing of annotations. However, you can identify pages with annotations by tapping the Thumbnails button and choosing the Annotated tab.

Ah, thanks - did not notice that!

That’s indeed neat … but may not be enough to replace the other Apps.

Still interesting to know, thanks again

You’re welcome.

Well, the other apps are bespoke PDF applications, built specifically and to only handle PDF documents.

Yes, I had high hopes to concentrate on DTTG, but sadly I still need the other Apps.
