Copy a Password Protected PDF to Get a File Without a Password

Hey Everyone,

I get pdf’s from a credit card company. I need to redact them to submit them elsewhere. But they have passwords, so I can’t modify them. So I print them to a new pdf file, and voila, I get a new file that has no password and that can be redacted.

Is there a function I can run to skip the printing? “Duplicate without password”. I know this sounds silly, but the whole procedure is silly, so I thought I would ask.

Sorry but no, there is no function in DEVONthink to remove or bypass a PDF’s password.

There are online services for that, but you must know the password to remove it to avoid, well, piracy.
