Create new folder inside other folder only when other is ope

This was discussed some time ago, but I frankly don’t like the behavior of Devon that a new folder is ALWAYS created inside the selected folder.

Here’s a more intelligent way (as used by the app iNotePad for example):

  • When the folder is open and selected, the newly created folder is placed inside the open folder.

  • When a folder is selected but not open, a new folder is created right underneath (listed underneath).

That way, like in Finder, I can create a whole list of new folders and later rename them one by one.

For now, Devon acts totally different than the Mac Finder :frowning:

I just want a checkbox. I understand that the current behavior is desirable to some people, but it’s not to me.

V2 will work that way.

Does that mean in the way mypointofview requests or the way kalisphoenix requests?
