Create Smart Rule to Rename Markdown Document Based Upon Internal Heading #

By adapting an approach suggested by David Sparks in his excellent DEVONthink Field Guide, I was able to create a Smart Rule that renames a markdown (MD) document to reflect the file’s Document Creation Date. I would like to create another rule that replaces the existing MD filename with the internal data from the # Level Heading. So. . . if the MD document starts with the following text: “# Spring Gardening Guide,” I would like to lift that information out and rename the file as “Spring Gardening Guide.md”. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mark

While it’s not referring to a smart rule, have you seen this discussion…

I have not seen the discussion at the link you referenced but will check it out. Thanks!
