Is there a way to create a record with Powerpoint file hosted on a website? I tried “create web document from” and “create record with” + “download URL”. I can successfully make webarchive files from web pages so it is not a general web issue. Thanks.
Adding it to the download manager via “add download” is probably the easiest solution. Otherwise you have to download the URL, save it to disk and import the saved file.
Or, do Save Linked File As… and put it in the Inbox. I do that a lot, it’s really handy to have the global Inbox in the finder side bars and file dialogs.
