Is there any way to create a custom scanner? Well, I’m sure there is, but they seem to be binaries. Would it be possible to post the source of a scanner?
I’m trying to use DocScanner but it just isn’t cutting it–it won’t recognize text files I’m trying to grab as text documents. Does it simply rely on known extensions or does it try to match based upon the content?
When I look in the log, the text files aren’t shown as having any linebreaks–does the log assume a Mac linebreak (is this normal)? The text files do not have Mac linebreaks.
I suppose in the future it might be nice to be able to develop scanners as one develops plugins, and the ability to invoke multiple scanners on a search set.
