Database "restore" from Devonthink To GO

Hi,

I’m using DT3 6.18 (1015) on a MacMini M2 with Sequoia 15.0.1
and on an iPadPro (4. Gen) with iPad-OS 18.0.

On my Mac I crashed a database. The database is still available on the iPad.
I have stopped the synchronization between iPad and Mac.

My question :
How do I get the database synchronized from the iPad to the Mac again?
Do I have to delete the corrupt version of the database on the Mac before synchronizing?
Do I have to create an (empty) database with the same name on the Mac as on the iPad?

Thank you in advance for your support ?

Does that mean that it is no longer available on the Mac? In that case, you could simply turn on sync on the Mac again and then download the database from the sync location.

Obviously. Otherwise, you’d risk syncing the broken database (aside: How did it get corrupted?) thus damaging the one on the iPad.

Alternatively: Just install the database on the Mac from your latest backup.

And please use the forum’s search: “sync restore database” turns up quite some hits that might have answered your questions.

Hi chrillek,
thank you for your support. your tip worked well.
I had chaos in the data backup, as always in such moments
