Database size limit: How many JPG files (images) in a database?

I use DTP as a simple jpg viewer and organizer. In total I expect 100.000 images (about 300GB).
The current database is about 12GB and 10.000 images but shows 0 (zero) words in the database properties window! As the size limitation is explained as depending on “words” rather than bytes, I wonder if this is true for images as well.
Any idea how many images a database can hold?

Images don’t have text, so why would there be a word count greater than zero? :thinking:

And no, there is no known metric on the number of images.
