Databases lost after new version installed

I have just uploaded the latest version and now have no access to my databases in finder. This is the message in Finder

Any help much appreciated

Dorothy

That is showing DEVONthink 3. The current version is 4.4.

Go into the /Applications directory and move the DEVONthink 3 application to the system Trash. Reboot the machine.

Since you upgraded I presume that to DEVONthink 4.4. But your screen shot mentions “DEVONthink 3”. Frankly, I haven’t the foggiest what would launch that but I wonder if you still have DEVONthink 3.x on your computer. And specifically what folder in your macOS that you are using Finder to navigate do you have your databases stored?

Thank you. I am using version 4.4 but the Finder file has always been DEvonthink 3. It has only failed since this afternoons update. I don’t have the Devonthink 3 app anymore

If by "Finder file you mean an alias to the application, you need to delete that file. Do a Spotlight search for kind:application name:DEVONthink. You should only see one application: DEVONthink. Click, drag and drop the icon to the dock to set a proper alias to launch it.

Specifically what file and in what folder were you pointing at?

Thank you, all sorted :+1:

You’re welcome
