Default margins in new Rich Text Documents

Hello,
I wonder if there is a way to change the default margins (and eventually tabs) of a newly created Rich Text Document. Now the right margin is always set to 27 cm. So I have to scroll right and left and right and left… to see the text I wrote, unless I adjust manually the margin.
Thanks.[/b]

Not at the moment. We’ll add this in DEVONthink 2.0

Best,

Eric.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your quick answer!
When can we expect the release of DEVONthink 2.0?

Jules

Jules,

I remember having had that problem in the beginning. But basically, the RTF documents have no margin, and text wraps to window width, quite a handy feature.

When I want to have a margin set for print (otherwise font size is not fixed), I use styles of TextEdit, which work in DT as well - just have a look at the ruler. There I use not only a fixed margin, but also default tabs that fit well for me. If I use these styles, text does not wrap to the window any more, but margins are much more narrow than 27 cm.

I always print from TextEdit with margins or from NisusExpress, where I can include page number, date and file path.

Mid 2005 earliest. First we have to release DEVONthink Professional

Best,

Eric.
