Default "Priority" Tag Visible in DTTG but not DT4

I noticed that every document I create in DTTG 4 is tagged “Priority” . Even more odd - this tag is not visible when the document syncs to DT4:

If I intentionally add a tag in DTTG 4 then it syncs to DT4 as expected. Once again DTTG displays the tag Priority though it does not sync to DT4.

Why is this happening?

Is “Priority” a valid tag in DTTG
Is it used at the group level?
This might be a bug I reported at DTTG4 Tag Inheritance

Thank you

Yes - long ago I added Priority as a Group tag and forgot about that in this database. (I intended for this database to be used for accessing DT with Vision Pro but then realized that is not necessary since I always mirror my MacBook to the Vision Pro. Now I ressurected that database for transferring to DTTG 4 on ioS.)

The reason I was not seeing that tag in the individual items is that I had checked “Exclude Groups from Tagging.” So on the Mac those tags were ignored.

** Apparently DTTG 4 did not follow the preference to exclude groups from tagging - that caused the discrepancy between the two.

I changed it now to allow group tagging (which is what I prefer) and it works fine for me.

This may be a bug in DTTG 4 however for those who wish to exclude groups from tagging.

Group tags and inheriting parent tags are two different things.

This is mostly out of curiosity - it doesn’t impact my use case presently.

Why did DTTG show the Priority tag but DT did not?

Aren’t database options synced between the two? Where is the behavior different?

Why did DTTG show the Priority tag but DT did not?

Because there is a bug with inherited tags I identified this morning and filed an issue on.

Aren’t database options synced between the two?

Yes, they are but again, there’s a bug involved.
