Default rich text note font in DT3

I’m trying to change the rich text note font in preferences in DT3 (see below), but the default font is always times new roman, no matter what I set the preferences to. Am I missing something here? Is there another way to get the default font of rich text notes to be arial?

Here are my settings:

And here is a new rich text note, taken after DT3 has been restarted with the new preferences:

Is the font still the right one after reopening the preferences? How did you actually create the new rich text note? A simple test was successful over here.

Are you using a template or Data > New > Rich Text ?
A rich text template would preserve the fonts in it.
