It would be great if one could, whilest scanning documents, already at the dialogue before saving could delete pages of the scanned document they should not become part of the file to be created in DT3.

Why don’t you just exclude them from scanning from the start? 
These are, for example, receipts where the printing on the front side shows through onto the back side. Or these are business letters where the back side of each sheet is printed with the terms and conditions. Or administrative files, where the back pages are also paginated, but only a few back pages contain handwritten notes in addition to the page number.
That would be a nice feature. I scan a lot of documents with my ScanSnap that require deleting the back page after import.
Development would have to assess the feasibility of the feature.
