Why are you using the terminal just to delete an application?

To explain more my question. I have the following running in my dock which has a name that is not exactly mapped to any applications in the Applications folder.

I have DEVONagent Express running but there is no application with that name in Applications folder!
DEVONagent Express is included with DEVONagent Pro as a Menu Extra. If you don’t like it, go to Preferences > Menu Extra and disable General: Start at login

DEVONagent Express replaces the function of DEVONagent Lite.

Correct, since it’s bundled within DEVONagent Pro.
Thanks. I have removed the app as instructed. After reboot, I still get the DEVONagent Express running in the menu bar, is this expected behaviour?
I have those settings for the menu extra:

but the DEVONagent Express is still in the menu bar and started at boot. So I guess there is something wrong with me setup … Any ideas how to fix this?
Your screenshot shows the opposite of what I said? You have checked Start at login – so it starts at login. Uncheck it. Like this:

Well, the way I understood initially was that ‘Start at login’ checkbox was for the Menu Extra and I was looking to have the Menu Extra started at login but not to use Express search. Basically, I would like to start the extra but the use the slower, filtered search which I understand is specific to the DEVONagent Pro for which I purchased the license.
In any case, for now I changed the settings like so:
The Menu Extra is DEVONagent Express. DEVONagent Express is a separate application from DEVONagent Pro. It is included/bundled with Pro, but also sold stand-alone.
Both the stand-alone version and the bundled version of DEVONagent Express have the same two search modes: “Agent” and “Express” search.
DEVONagent Pro has its own separate interface. To take full advantage of its power, you should use that. It gives you much more detailed control over searches.
Pro does give you the ability to create custom search sets and plugins – which you can also use in DEVONagent Express. Something you can’t do with the stand-alone version.
