Does DS take into consideration running on battery or low power mode when indexing is set to “Automatically”? My battery life seems to go to 
after installing DS.
That’s not considered currently. One workaround would be to update the index only every hour.

I hope this will be considered for future functionality. Changing the indexing frequency certainly helps, but the OS is giving a signal the application should be able to use to modify its indexing behavior on battery power. I was shocked how quickly it was draining things.
We’ve never received similar reports.
Especially initial indexing of your documents might require a lot of resources depending on the amount of data. However, we’ll check this.
This is not my initial indexing going on.
What have you added to the Settings > Locations ?
