I installed osTahoe yesterday, and was playing with the new transparency features. Every icon in my dock turned transparent (or at least gray, the tint color I chose… as expected) except for Devonthink :). Defiant to the end! LOL
The user interface of DEVONthink (including the icon) hasn’t been optimized for Tahoe yet.
Will the fix only be for DT4?
The user interface of version 3 won’t change anymore.
Thanks.
Anyone is aware of a lasting solution to not have that icon stay blue? (Beside upgrading to DT4, family situation has made cash flow a bit tight) Even changing it manually, always revert back to blue when we open the app.
If any are interested. Managed to get a icon change for DT that seems to work.
Simply open the package content of the application folder, open the content folder, then resources and get an icon (like from https://macosicons.com/#/devonthink) name it DEVONthink 3.icns and drag in that folder to overwrite the default icon.
So far it seems to stay.
Be aware this is not an advocated method.
I noticed that the icon has been optimized for iOS and iPad with the DTTG 4 release, but the macOS version is still not tinting. Is this update still pending or do I need to do something on my end to get it to refresh? Thanks!
DEVONthink 4.1.1 was released before macOS 26 Tahoe. The next release will support the new appearance.
