Here’s a FireFox search bar (upper right) tip, this works in versions 4.0b8 and 3.*

  1. share DEVONthink databases to search
  2. install Firefox addon “add to search bar”
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3682/
  3. Enable the DEVONthink webserver and go to http://127.0.0.1:8000/search?q=devonthink
  4. Right mouse-click on the search box in the page and select “add to search bar”, name it DEVONthink
  5. Optionallly select the little dropdown arrow next to the search bar icon and select “manage search engines”- set as DEVONthink as default.
