Devonthink only for macOS 13

Hello,
first, thanks fordevelop further devon think!
But, why is it necessary to set ventura (macOS 13) as minimum and not montery (macOS 12)?

See where already discussed, e.g.

If I understand this correctly, then DEVONthink 4 should run on a Mac Pro 6.1 (late 2013)? MacOS Ventura is not officially supported on this machine, but could be installed using the OpenCore Legacy Patcher (OCLP). Can you confirm that on this configuration it should be able to run DEVONthink 4? Or should I rather stick with MacOS 12 Monterey and DEVONthink 3?

@Bluefrog from DEVONtechnologies can comment, but I would be very suprised if they will test their product(s) OpenCore Legacy Patcher. Perhaps use your trial period to test on your machine?

OpenCore Legacy Patcher will take your machine to newer macOS but in my experience it may result in OS quirks, slowdowns and other side-effects. There is a reason Apple has these hardware-to-software cutoffs, and the further the hardware is from the cutoff’ed OS, the more likely and severe these quirks.

That is not to say that you shouldn’t experiment if you have the time and inclination, since YMMV because my experience is through the hardware that I own.
