For medical related users, support for indexing and viewing DICOM files would be of great help.

Any chance of adding this feature?

Are there any Mac applications to open/edit such files?

For Mac you have Dicom Viewers (Osirix the most known) and even editors like Photoshop Extended since CS3, if I’m not wrong.
Most importantly, Mac’s quick look supports these files natively.
I tried to send a DICOM file so you can see the quick look supports, but the extension dcm is not allowed to be uploaded.
