Difficulty understanding how to configure DTTG to avoid any unnecessary risk of corruption, duplication and conflicting notes

DEVONthink on my Mac Studio (Sonoma) is sacred, and I absolutely want to avoid any unnecessary risk of corruption, duplication and conflicting notes.
I have used sync between Mac and iPhone with other apps and ran into the problem of conflicting or duplicate notes which is a huge pain in the neck when dealing with long technical notes.
How do I configure DTTG sync in such a way that I can only read items from my DEVONthink on my Mac without any risk of conflicting notes, corruption or duplication on the DEVONthink notes and database on my Mac?
thanks very much

Should not really have to do anything special, I think. Seems like something else going on, but hard to tell from here with the information provided.

Meantime:

  • What sync method are you using?
  • What versions of DEVONthink and DEVONthink ToGo are you using?
  • What exact (number) version of macOS and iOS are you using?
  • In macOS DEVONthink Sync settings, what is your setting for “Conflict”?
  • In macOS DEVONthink General settings, what is your setting for “Stricter recognition of duplicates”
  • in iOS DEVONthink Sync settings what is set for Conflicts, Schedule, and Keep All?
  • Done “Verify & Repair” on any or all the copies of databases (all databases) exhibiting this issue you see? See “Troubleshooting” in Help and/or in the outstanding DEVONthink Manual for guidance.

And, to confirm, you have a proper backup regime setup on your Mac Studio machine, not relying on sync?
