In 3 of my 4 databases the command Edit > Copy URL is always dimmed.
Datebase properties > Options provides no clue; they are identical across all 4.
Creation dates provide no clue; the one that works is neither the youngest nor the oldest.
I can script this, but hey…

There is no problematic document. The command is always dimmed, regardless of the selection.
Even if a selected item has a URL according to the Info inspector?
Ahh… Your question made me realise I misunderstood what that command does. I assumed it copied an item’s reference URL - and it doesn’t, right?

[I have one DB where all items have a sidecar file. The pairs are linked thru their reference URLs. So, yes, there all items have a URL.]
That’s right, this is a different command (Edit > Copy Item Link)
