Looks like it was a false alarm.
When I manually migrated to a clean Ventura install two months ago, I didn’t follow the correct procedure and I only opened a couple of databases I’d copied over.
After this morning’s scare I tracked down BLUEFROG’s steps for doing this correctly and I’m back in business.
Glad to hear things are back to normal now
