I am being severely hampered by the inability to use links in DTTG4. Having upgraded, I deleted DTTG 3 before realizing the links are awol. It is also my understanding that the fix is an indeterminate period of time away. See here
So, my question is: Does anyone know how to safely do this?

The problem with the non-functioning item links is already fixed internally and you can expect a maintenance release next week, Apple permitting.

The update is out and the links are working again in my system. 
may I ask, in the past when starting DTTG after an update, a window with the release notes was shown. This was not the case after this update. I know that the changes are also shown in the app store but I would miss this in-app feature.
Here (iPad) it opened on the settings page showing the release notes.
I cannot confirm this on the ipjone for the current update.

Actually, it should show every time DEVONthink To Go launches with a build number different from the one before.
