I’ve been trying to find the answer to this in the manual, but I’m either stupid and can’t read, or the feature isn’t there anymore.
For a long time I’ve had a “drop folder” on my desktop, where I can toss documents that I want into DT but that I don’t want to file at that particular moment (yes, I know that I can drop on the Sorter or the DT icon in the doc). If I remember correctly this “drop folder” was an alias to a folder in DTs Application Support folder.
I had a look in the ~/Library/Application Support//DEVONthink folder and there is this “Inbox” folder that seem to work the way I want. I can simply make an alias of this folder and put it onto the desktop, but is this something that is still recommended/supported?
(I just find it more convenient to have a folder where I can drop stuff, instead of dragging things on the Sorter och the dock icon)
