I just updated my MacOS to 15.7.9 (24G830) and my DT Pro to 4.4. I have a weird thing in that the minimal allowed horizontal width of any DT window seems now set to a larger width. On a 24" external screen I am sure that I could previously open two DT windows side by side, one at 1/3 and the other at 2/3 of the screen. I can’t do that now: I can drag and resize the horizontal size of the app but it doesn’t compress far enough down to 1/3 (not even to 1/2). There is more space vertically.
Yes I didn’t explain this very well. It’s the main app window. Left side bar or right Inspectors don’t seem to affect this. I could have sworn that the main app window used to compress further, but now I am doubting myself. This is what I see on a 24" screen at 1920 px.
@cgrunenberg yes I use Moom. I’ve just closed the app, removed it from my start up items, and rebooted the Mac without it running.
I am not seeing the DT window widths either for the main window or a document window (md file) that @BLUEFROG gets – there just seems to be a lot more horizontal space. I will upload another screen recording. The third app I am able to horizontally shrink is Drafts (included to show the issue might be somewhere in my DT settings, it is not a system-wide problem).
But when I created a new user, the problem went away and I could drag the windows to their narrowest size.
So now, I’d need to eliminate on my current user account what local settings or other app interference might impact the scaling of DT to size. I understand that this might not, then, strictly be a DT problem. But in case you have any pointers of what else could be getting in my way here, please do let me know me know.
