DT 4 Pro search doesn't find anything

I created a data base and some groups for all of my personal documents. And imported like 10k mainly pdf documents.

I also use DTTG on 2 devices and sync it.

There is a scanner as well which scans to a local NAS. The Inbox is synced with the Scan Inbox.
But if I search for an invoice I get maybe 5 results or so but there must be some hundred results in the list. It doesn’t look like a filter issue. IF I look for a newly scanned document in the Inbox and search for the most prominent word in the document, no results. All pdf are searchable as I can see from the info. Whatever I look for I don’t find it. I already rebuild the data base but nothing changed.

No clue what this is about …

The only idea I have is to delete my db and import again from scratch …

Thanks for your answer.

I just realized that obviously it’s a difference if I define a scope or not. If I just put any word into the search then I find close to nothing. If I say [search term] and mark the db then DT puts [scope:name of db] into the search and I get results.

Is this the way the DT-search works?

I suggest taking a dive in the manual, available under the Help menu. It has everything you ever wanted to know about search.
