ich habe schon die Testversion von DT am Laufen und beabsichtige zeitnah die Lizenz zu erwerben.
Allerdings habe ich noch eine Frage, was den zukünftig angedachten mobilen Sync anbelangt.
Ich habe Dropbox und OneDrive im Einsatz. Da DT auf OneDrive nicht läuft wird es wohl oder übel Dropbox werden müssen.
Allerdings möchte ich die Daten dort nicht unverschlüsselt liegen haben.
Da ich Dropbox in Verbindung mit Boxcryptor verwende ist meine Frage, ob ich DT mobil und mit Mac in Verwendung mit Boxcryptor zum “Laufen” bekomme? Kann das jemand beantworten?

DT braucht keine weitergehend Verschlüsselung durch Boxcryptor o.ä. DT bietet von selbst die Möglichkeit den SyncStore verschlüsselt in der Cloud abzulegen. Somit besteht, sofern man ein gutes Passwort gewählt hat, theoretisch und nach jetzigen Maßstäben nur nach langer Rechenzeit eine Chance an die Daten zu gelangen. Von daher leistet DT bereits das, was Boxcryptor auch machen würde.
Zitat aus dem Handbuch:
The build-in synchronization is highly optimized for transferring databases securely and fast. Direct connections between two devices are always encrypted using AES 256 bit. Sync stores (see below) are also encrypted using AES 256 bit if you enter an encryption password (recommended).
Genauer ist das im Handbuch ab S. 107 erklärt:

Check any location to activate it. If it is not yet
set up, DEVONthink Pro Office will show a sheet requesting all necessary details. Only a subset of the following fields is shown, depending on the nature of the sync location:
URL: The URL of your WebDAV volume including path to the folder where the sync store is location or shall be created.
User name: The user name of the service. Password: The password of the service or set on the host for a direct connection.
Sync Store Name: The name of the sync store. To access an already existing sync store make sure to enter the name correctly.
Encryption password: The password used
to encrypt the sync store with AES 256 bit encryption.[/i]
Ich bin übrigens recht sicher, dass es dem Syncstore nicht “gut tuen” würde, wenn man ihn noch zusätzlich mittels eines weiteren Tools wie Boxcryptor verschlüsselt. Ich würde davon ausgehen, dass dann der Sync nicht mehr richtig funktioniert und die Daten auch nicht mehr verfügbar sind.
