I’ve been having problems lately with DT seizing up. The little color wheel spins and I have to force quit. Reopening the app is usually fine, but I’ve had to reboot also.
I don’t use DT for anything but writing and storing documents. No spreadsheets or arcane coding.
The issue may have to do with accessing outside links, though. Today it happened when I was expanding a snippet using TextExpander. Another time was when the operating system decided to verify MS Word.
How do things behave if TextExpander isn’t running?
I use TE heavil , so I wouldn’t be likely to turn it off. And actually, I wasn’t expanding a snippet. I was trying to type “Etsy.” Next time DT freezes, I’ll keep better track.
It’s possible my MacBook is getting old. It dates from 2017 and is on its second battery.
