DT3 Linking vs. Hook

I’m just starting to realize the benefits of linking between documents and I’m puzzled regarding the internal linking of DT3 vs. Hook (by CogSci Apps).

My objective is to write a research report using either MSWord or OmniOutliner and to implement two-way links between the outline and the references.

Which linking system is better and why???

Thanks
Larry

DT item links are only available for items stored in the database (which includes indexed items, if I remember correctly). Hook will link to almost anything stored on your computer (there are limitations, which their documentation will tell you about) as well as pages on the internet, pictures in your Photos library, and probably some other things I have forgotten about. You can, of course, use the two applications together. See this post. There is no best – just different opportunities and limitations.
