I had this already fixed with DT2 but unable to remember how 
Does anybody know how to add (and what content incl. placeholders must it have) a .md file to the Annotations folder to be able to use .md instead of RTF for annotations?
Please see snapshot to see what annotations feature I’m using.

You can access the Annotations folder here…
If you are creating your own Annotation file, the backlink to the current document will be filled in by DEVONthink when you use the special placeholder %documentLink% in your template.
