DT3b6 OCR adding whitespace to PDF

Running DT3b6, I’ve noticed that the OCR process seems to add whitespace to one margin of the PDF. It appears not be a scanner issue as the raw (pre-OCR) PDF has no such extra margin. See attached; sorry that the orientation differs; but you can discern where the additional whitespace is added, shifting the actual content off the opposite margin. This is the only case where I’ve found this to be true; so possibly it’s an anomaly of the OCR engine and how it’s interacting with the geometry of the page contents. Odd.

Pre-OCR:

Post-OCR:

Thanks for the report! I have confirmed the behavior here. Development will have to investigate this. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

This is an issue with the ABBYY OCR when rotating pages. ABBYY are aware of this issue and we in discussion regarding a solution. In the meantime I would suggest that you rotate the images prior to OCR.

Thank you both. It’s a rare occurrence and I can easily work around it. Just wanted to make the devs were aware.
