DT4 - chat stops if window goes to background

If I run a chat, ask a question and then move on while waiting for the result, the request is not run in the background.

I run a Msty.app with Ollama on a local Macbook. I’m aware of the restriction imposed by hardware and the Getting started section in the handbook.

  1. select a file
  2. open the chat
  3. ask a question - spinner starts running
  4. move on within the application
  5. open chat again - see screenshot

Is the URL/port of Ollama the right one in Settings > AI > Chat?

yes it is. I see valid HTTP connections.

Does it work if the window remains active & in the foreground?

  1. Open modal

Yes, it works fine. It does not work if the dialog was closed.

Thanks for the additional details, the next beta will improve this. In the meantime detaching the popover is an option.
